Chinese
The Chinese program is a comprehensive language development program that equips children to speak, listen, read and write Chinese. Our experienced teachers incorporate songs, stories, fun games, and interactive activities to expand student’s interest in and appreciation for Chinese language and culture. Such as:

An introduction to Traditional Chinese Culture and Festivals by telling stories and doing activities
A different theme for oral conversation will be practiced every month
Classes involving lower level students from K-3rdgrade:

IMG_6447Cultivate students to be interested in Chinese Language and Culture;
Emphasize listening and speaking skills;
Start learning PuTong Hua PinYin;
Between 2nd and 3rd grade basic Chinese Character writing with radical will begin
Basic daily convocation.
Class for the higher level students from 4th to 12th grade:

Strengthen Pin Yin, pronunciation, speaking and listening ;
Improve Character writing with radical;
Focus on grammar, vocabulary, and conversation;
Improving general abilities of listening, speaking, reading and writing.
We will nominate and train our students to participate in the poetry recitation and calligraphy competition which happens every year in San Francisco.

To ensure our teaching quality, year round “fun” quizzes will be followed by a final examination at the end of semester. We will send out a monthly communication and progress report for the parents to review the students’ standing.

Start to enjoy learning Chinese Language and Culture in “Edutainment”, Easy and Fun Atmosphere, right at your own school, St. Dunstan Catholic School. By learning the Chinese language skills which have you prepared for the changing global economy.

After School Chinese program Monday-Friday (4:30pm-5:30pm).
Weekend Chinese program Saturday (2:00pm-3:30pm)
